    Hungry bush rats can be partly credited for saving one of the most iconic costumes in Australian cinema history — the white muslin dress worn by Anne-Louise Lambert in the role of Miranda in the 1975 film Picnic at Hanging Rock. The delicate dress, which was briefly on public display to mark the film's 40th anniversary, is in the care of the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) in Canberra.
